Board of Directors
The Edward S. "Beanie" Drake Student Leader Endowment Fund is the only student administered scholarship at The Ohio State University. The fund is maintained solely by contributions from individuals and campus organizations.
The Student Board of Directors carries out all administrative responsibilities of the fund. It is elected by an electoral congress every year. Each contributing organization giving $50 or more is entitled to a seaton the congress. The officers are the Chairperson, Vice Chairperson,and the Director of Interviewing, who are selected by the Board of Directors of the previous year. The Board is advised by two individuals selected from The Ohio State University faculty or staff by the student members of the Board of Directors.
The Board of Directors is composed of the above officers plus six elected positions. The two Directors of Solicitations are responsible for fundraising for the scholarships. The two Directors of Public Relations are responsible for every aspect of communication throughout the entire process. The Awards Coordinator is responsible for planning, presentation, and management of all activities related to the awards presentation. The Executive Secretary is the clerk of the board, keeping minutes of all meetings and assisting in operations.
